The IEEE Peterborough Section is part of a vibrant local and global technical community. We bring together professionals, students, educators, and life members in the Peterborough region (and surrounding areas) who are passionate about electrical, electronics, computer, and related engineering fields. Our Section is one of 22 IEEE Sections across Canada (IEEE Region 7) and serves members in the City and County of Peterborough and nearby communities. We foster innovation, professional development, networking, and outreach for the benefit of humanity.
- IEEE Peterborough Section
The main local organizational unit. We organize technical talks, networking events, annual general meetings, site visits, and collaborative activities with other professional groups in the region. - Life Members Affinity Group (LMAG)
Established in 2010, the Peterborough LMAG brings together IEEE Life Members for social, educational, and mentoring activities. Life Members and the Section often hold joint administrative and social events. - Broader Technical & Professional Community
We actively collaborate with:- Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Peterborough Chapter
- Local educators and students at Fleming College and Trent University
- Pre-college STEM programs (Engineering Challenge, regional science fairs, Teachers In-Service Program / TISP, and other outreach)
